The ingredients needed to make Stuffed Peppers:
- {Make ready 1 pound of ground beef.
- {Make ready 1/2 of medium onion.
- {Make ready 2 tablespoons of butter.
- {Take 3 cups of cooked rice.
- {Prepare 1 jar of spaghetti sauce.
- {Prepare 5 of green peppers.
Steps to make Stuffed Peppers:
- Cook rice according to instructions on bag/box.
- While rice is cooking, dice up onion.
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Add onion to butter, simmer until rice is done (about 30 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Mix together ground beef, onion and butter, and rice in mixing bowl.
- Cut off tops of peppers, get seeds out and rinse peppers.
- Scoop mixture into peppers until full.
- Stand peppers up in oven safe dish.
- Pour spaghetti sauce on bottom of dish around peppers until it reaches about a quarter way up the pepper.
- Cover peppers and put in oven for 60 minutes.
- Take out peppers, use sauce on bottom to scoop over peppers, if desired.
